VytahConf. is organised by a group of professionals with various backgrounds but united by mutual passion: Space. Our mission is to create a space industry in Slovakia.
Therefore we decided to start a movement, where the space industry can grow and thrive. We are bringing together business, academia, government as well as the general public all united by the common interest in space.
Our background varies from IT, hardware development, to marketing and event management. Cumulatively we possess experience from organising 20+ events with more than 10 000 attendees.
A business developer with a wide range of expertise from NGO's, event management, e-commerce, finance, the pharma industry.
Why the space industry: From my perspective space is an industry with the highest chance to create a positive impact on the earth. Not just from the technological point of view, but also in job creation.

Why the space industry: Space exploration technology, and other discoveries and technologies that arise because of it, are incredibly influential and beneficial. Space research results in new tech and some of which we use in our everyday lives.
A life-long sci-fi and technology fan, enthusiastic marketer and a volunteer with a long track record, e. g. TEDxPrague. He lives in both Bratislava and Prague and is a multidisciplinary person.
Why the space industry: In the past decades, humanity has learned that most of its efforts have negative consequences. The ones trying to protect the Earth environment are in a deep minority, so the tempo of destruction our only known habitable planet is increasing. Even if we do not count the possibility of major disaster coming from space bodies, conquering space is the ultimate direction for our species. And we have to act as quickly as possible. It is a long race, so let's work!
Architect by training, maker by heart. Unable to become an astronaut found his call in the design of closed-loop systems like Ecocapsule.
Why space: Space is more than rockets. It is a mission which can fuel whole nations to overcome earthly hurdles, inspire individuals and chance to create a better future.
Breakthrough technology enthusiast and futurist. He worked for the Mars Society as Mission Support Director for the Mars Desert Research Station for two seasons. As a first Slovak completed masters program at International Space University. He won multiple local rounds of NASA Space Apps hackathons and went on to judge the local round in Vienna last year.
Why Space: In the words of Michelangelo “The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” As we venture into space and solve the challenges that we face there we will solve more Earthbound problems along the way, quicker than we would by focusing on solving those issues individually. Furthermore, to grow up, humanity needs to become multiplanetary to ensure our survival and prepare for the inevitable contact with alien life. Per aspera ad astra.
